JJ Is Just A Car Owner… He Should Relax And Receive His Sales
The National Organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan, says Former President Rawlings “should sit back like a car owner and just observe” how his own protégé, “President Mills, playing the role of a driver, steers the affairs of the country and wait up for his sales, whether daily or monthly.”
“He is supposed to be like a car owner….He only has to relax and receive his sales…, whether daily or monthly from his driver (President Mills), who is now in control,” he said.
Speaking on PeaceFM’s flagship program “Kokrokoo”, the NDC National Organiser cautioned the ex-President Rawlings to be circumspect with his public utterances, most especially, comments regarding President Mills. “Mr. Rawlings should know when and what to say about the President at public fora,” he said.
At a gathering of NDC party foot soldiers and a number of parliamentarians held at his Ridge residence during a reception on Tuesday, February 10, Mr. Rawlings, in his usual strident manner accused President Mills of presiding over growing “indiscipline” in his government, and warned him “to put his foot down and ensure that the nonsense going on around him is brought to a halt,” otherwise, “he (President Mills) will go down with them.”
The former President described the action of one particular Presidential Staffer and NDC National Youth Organiser, Ludwig Hlodze, who he alleges drives around with dispatch riders at night as “foolish” and indiscipline.
“…that Ludwig who comes home using dispatch riders, look for somebody to film it and go and give it to Professor Mills ...what is Ludwig, that little twitch! You know, what does he need dispatch riders to go home for late in the night and waking people up…Go and show Professor Mills that this is what is disgracing his government. He must learn to discipline the people around him….The people he has surrounded himself with, most of them have worked with me before, that’s why I said who born dog? In my time, none of them will dare do the foolish things they are doing around him ..., why is he not putting his foot down to make sure the nonsense going on around him is brought to a halt?” he asked.
Opanyin Yaw Gyan opined that as the Founder of the NDC party, ex-President Rawlings must be refined in his speech.
“He should not be washing our dirty linen in public, if even he does not agree with certain issues or find certain behaviors or action (s) uncalled for…he should not be making caustic public remarks,” he said.
