President John Mahama says even as the nation pats itself on the back because of the "unprecedented" strides and "gargantuan" achievements of the ruling NDC government, the citizenry should be reminded that more hardwork lies ahead.

According to him, despite challenges faced over the years, the state of the nation still remained strong.

He was delivering his first State of the Nation address in accordance with Article 67 of the Constitution after the return of Members of Parliament to the House on January 3rd, 2013.

The address was the government's 5th address to the House since it was inaugurated on January 7th, 2009 for a four year term which officially ended midnight January 6th.
