The former spokesperson to late President John Evans Atta Mills, Koku Anyidoho, has said he is still at post and doing his work as director of communication at the Presidency.

Speaking exclusively to Citi News on Wednesday, Mr. Anyidoho said his main focus now is to ensure the party retained power in December.

He said: “Come to the Castle [the seat of government], you will see me there. The fact that I have been off the media circle does not mean I’m not there. Two days ago someone in Kumasi said my office was now at the Asomdwee Park [the burial place of Atta Mills].”

Mr. Anyidoho said Ghanaians will definitely retain the NDC in power due to the impressive success chalked by the late president.

“What they [New Patriotic Party] don’t want to see is this government succeed so what you see is a Member of Parliament sit on radio and seek to impugn the integrity of the Chinese saying because we are corrupt, we are choosing to deal with the Chinese who are supposedly corrupt,” he said.

Mr. Anyidoho said he saw the comments as very unfortunate adding that, “we thank God that majority of Ghanaians will see through that and really look at the solid work President Mills started and give President Mahama the mandate to continue with the good works of building a better Ghana.”
