The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the performance of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, at the IEA’s evening encounter as unimpressive and lacking substance.

Speaking to Citi News, the General Secretary of the ruling NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia said Nana Addo failed to use the occasion to convince Ghanaians what he can do when he assumes power as President, and exposed himself to public ridicule.

According to him, “the performance was very poor, but we were not disappointed because we were expecting anything. The language was okay but that was all. There was no substance in whatever he said and all the follow up questions, he could not address them sufficiently.”

Mr. Nketia further mentioned that “I thought Nana Addo would have used this opportunity in a much more useful manner but what he has done is to open up himself to tell Ghanaians how hollow the ideas he has been preaching are and how unsustainable his ideas are.”
