The spokesperson of the late President John Evans Atta Mills family, Bishop Peter Sackey, has denied media reports that the family has resolved to exhume the body of Mills, six months after burial.

According to him, the family is cooperating fully with the government and the Funeral Committee to give a befitting burial to the late President John Mills.

He cautioned the general public to cease the rumour saying, “I am saying this with authority because I am the spokesperson of the family of the father side of the late president and as tradition demands, we are the fathers and we haven’t resolved to exhume the corpse after six months.”

He advised that the information should be treated as mere rumor.

Bishop Sackey also revealed that there will be a meeting between the family and the government on Monday for further consultation regarding the impending funeral for the late President John Mills.
