The Council of State has pledged to co-operate and support President John Dramani Mahama as he works to complete the term of late President Atta Mills.
At a meeting to express the Council’s condolence at the Castle, Osu, the Chairman Prof. Kofi Awoonor, said members had planned to meet the late president on the 27th of last month on some pressing national issues before his sudden death.
He therefore asked President Mahama to find time after the burial and funeral of Prof Atta Mills and meet the Council.
President Mahama called on the Council of State to offer him the good advise it provided Prof Mills to enable him to effectively run the country. He said he is always ready to welcome advise from the members.
They should therefore not hesitate to meet him informally on issues of national importance.
