The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its impending parliamentary primaries in the 61 constituencies have been postponed indefinitely.

A statement signed by Mr George Lawson, Deputy General Secretary in charge of Operations, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday, said the postponement was to enable the Party to complete the funeral

arrangements of the late President and leader of the Party, Professor John Evans Atta Mills."NEC also directs that regional and constituency executives suspend all Party activities until further notice", the statement added.

It indicated that new dates for the primaries would be announced in due course.
