With barely 11 days to the Wulensi by-election, Citi News checks indicate that a series of ground breaking projects are underway in the area.

Indications are that abandoned projects are being completed while new ones are being started. The Wulensi seat became vacant following the death of the Member of Parliament, Alhaji Sanni Iddi.

According to Citi News’ Northern Regional Correspondent Abdul Karim Naatogmah, “road contractors are busily constructing new feeder roads to link the constituency to other surrounding communities while communities without electricity are being connected to the rural electrification network and the street lights have been provided in seven communities such as Montonaya, and Kpayili.”

He also mentioned that although the four main political parties are battling the Electoral Commission in court over the impending elections, “leaders of the same political parties are vigorously campaigning to win the seat.”
