Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was on Wednesday given a rousing welcome in the Agona West constituency to round-off his week-long tour of the Central Region.

At Agona Swedru Nana Akufo-Addo and his entourage paid a courtesy call on Swedruhene, Nana Kobina Botwe II, in his palace.

He said his tour of the constituency was to appeal to the chiefs and people to vote for him and Mr Samuel Obodai, the parliamentary candidate for Agona West.

He also introduced Mr Obodai to the people and appealed to them to vote massively for him in the December 7 polls to build prosperous nation.

Nana Akufo-Addo said a government of the NPP would invest more in cocoa mass spraying and also halt politicizing the exercise to increase cocoa production.

He said the National Health Insurance Scheme, which he claimed is at the verge of collapse due to mismanagement by the government, would be revitalized through prudent policies.

Nana Akufo-Addo said a NPP government would resuscitate the economy and assured supporters that NPP had capable men to deliver the nation by reviving many collapsed industries and factories.

Nana Akufo-Addo said he still stand by his pledge to make Senior High School education free.

He also paid courtesy call on Omanhene of Nyakrom Traditional Area, Okofo Katakyi Nyakoh Eku X, at Agona Nyakrom.

The tour also took him to Agona Nkum, Agona Kwamang, Upper and Lower Bobikuma and Agona Abodom.

Nana Kobina Botwe appealed to supporters of the NPP to desist from acts that could spark-off violence in the December polls.
