The editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper, Alhaji Bature, has boldly stated that the former first family has rescinded their decision to support the formation of the National Democratic Party, NDP.

This follows pleas from some senior citizens of the country, members of the clergy and traditional leaders.

According to the Mr. Bature, some foreign Head of States have also intervened vie direct telephone conversations to appeal to the former first couple to change their minds.

Alhaji Bature in an interview with XYZ News said the NDP will be still-born.

Aljhaji Bature stated that “I am aware that the former President is not a happy man since Thursday when the news broke out.

“I am also aware that he has not been in favour of the idea for a long time except that he has been powerless to stop it.

“When this thing was announced on Thursday the reaction the former first couple got both from admirers, loved ones and of course the Ghanaian and International community as well, has made the former President state that the party will be still born," Alhaji Bature added.
