Fritz Baffour, the NDC MP for Ablekuma South, and Minister of Information, has launched his campaign to retain his seat.

The well-attended event which took place on Monday, July 02, 2012, at Chorkor, Tea Garden, has most certainly sent a strong message to Ursula Owusu that the people of Ablekuma South are not prepared to give her the mandate to represent them in Parliament.

It is pretty obvious that the Ga people have not forgiven Ursula for insulting them during the recent biometric registration exercise, and throughout the event, scores of people kept saying that Ursula will be punished for insulting Gas.

It would be recalled that Ursula Owusu rained insults on the Ga people; saying that they are "useless" people who have sold all their lands to Akans and so have no right to say that people who do not reside in Odododiodoo cannot register and vote there.

Of course, Ursula was given a few slaps by a few young Ga boys who were not prepared to allow Ursula to get away with her insults on Gas, in the heart of Accra.

Apart from Mr. Ade Coker, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, other bigwigs who attended the event include, Nii Lantey VanderpuIye, NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Odododiodoo; Koku Anyidoho, Director of Communications at the Office of the President; Hon Nii Amasa Namoale, NDC MP for La Dadekotopon; Hon. Tetteh Chae, NDC MP for Ablekuma Central; as well as many of the Regional and Constituency executives of the NDC.

If the enthusiasm shown at the event is anything to go by, then the NDC is more than ready to ensure that the NPP remains in opposition for at least another four years.
