The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has organized a seminar in Kumasi to discuss the party’s agenda for victory in the December 2012 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The one-day event is the second brainstorming session of the party on strategies and programmes being pursued not only to deepen the Better Ghana Agenda but also to ensure a resounding victory for the NDC in the December 2012 elections.

Participants were from the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, Brong Ahafo and the Ashanti regions. A similar event was organized for the southern sector in Accra last week.

The National chairman, Dr Kwabena Adjei, Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, Vice Chairman, the General Secretary, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Organizer, Mr Yaw Boateng Gyan and other Functional Executive Committee (FEC) members were present.

Senior members of the party (some of whom spoke on key thematic areas) in attendance included, Mr P. V. Obeng, Mr Ato Ahwoi, Mr Kofi Totobi Quakyi, Dr Christine Amoako Nuamah, Mr Kwame Peprah, Mr Ofosu Ampofo, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, and Mr Elvis Afriyie Ankrah.

Alhaji Abukari Sumani, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, Yieleh Chireh, Yaw Effah Baafi and Asum Ahensan were among the honourable members of Parliament who participated in the programme.

There was a frank exchange of views which covered a wide range of issues of general concern to the party rank and file.

Participants among whom were Regional Ministers, Parliamentary candidates, Constituency Executives departed from the Public Service Workers Union Hall at Nhyiaeso, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region with a resolve to work in unity and renewed vigour to secure a ‘onetouch victory’ in the 2012 elections.
