Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, son of Ghana’s first president, says the current executives of the Convention People (CPP) have rendered the party his farther formed a worthless political party.

He has therefore, advised the party to go into alliance with either the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) or the New Patriotic Party (NPP) if they intend to salvage the image of the CPP. “They need to go into alliance with one of the two big parties because they do not stand a chance in this election. But that is entirely their choice as to whether they will go with NPP or NDC,” Sekou Nkurmah told the Finder newspaper yesterday.

According to him, although he is yet to see the just-launched manifesto of the party, the whole exercise was a waste of time since it would end up on the shelves.
