Three key majority front benchers will face the Appointments Committee of Parliament for vetting beginning Wednesday February 9, despite the raging storm over their nomination for Ministerial jobs.

Citi News is reliably informed that Majority Leader, Hon Alban Bagbin, is appearing to be vetted for the position of Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing. His Deputy, Hon John Tia, who has been nominated by the President as the next Minister for Information will also face the Appointments Committee at Wednesday’s sitting.

Majority Chief Whip, Hon E.T. Mensah, who is also leaving the Majority bench to replace Hon. Stephen Amanor Kwao at the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare, will also be vetted at Wednesday’s sitting. Interior Minister Designate, Mr Martin Hamidu will also face the Committee at the sitting.

The Committee will sit for two days. Other nominees expected to appear before the Committee during the two-day sitting are: Mr. Moses Magbenba Northern Regional Minister-designate; Mr. Mahama Ayariga, Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry; Mr. Inusah Abdulai Fuseini, who replaces Dr. Kwabena Donkor as Deputy Minister-designate for Energy and Mr. Nasamu Asabigi, Deputy Minister-designate for the Northern Region.

Citi News sources can confirm that top guns of the ruling NDC will meet before close of the week to decide on replacements for the majority frontbenchers who are moving into the Executive.
