Prophet T.B Joshua has come under scuttling media attacks from some Ghanaian pastors recently on the mere assumption that he claimed to be responsible for Ghana’s U-20 National Team, The Satellites’ success at the just-ended U-20 World Cup.

The Daily Guide newspaper attributed one of such publications to at least one Ghanaian pastor, Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah, General Overseer of the Gospel Light International Church, in which he launched a blistering attack on the renowned Prophet from Nigeria. Daily Guide, which claimed it spoke to the Ghanaian pastor in and exclusive interview, said he described Prophet T.B Joshua in the following derogatory terms among others:“This man is a conman who knows how to manipulate situations to his advantage and he has some media experts all around him who work to make him look good but that is his business as long as he does not impose himself on Ghana as he has started to do.

If he is so patriotic, what prevented him from getting the World Cup for his country? If God has been kind to us, TB Joshua should stop taking the glory,” the paper quoted Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah as saying”.

According to the paper, “the Gospel Leader said he had no problem if President Atta Mills chose the Nigerian Prophet as his spiritual leader or god father, but that does not give TB Joshua the right to meddle in Ghana’s national affairs and parade himself as a national prophet.”

Then this interesting quotation followed: “We would not allow that to happen and our President better watch out before this man deceives him into sending Ghana the wrong way. I am surprised because I know many men of God in this country who are consulted by other African leaders and presidents from other continents but we do not go out there to say everything.”

Daily Guide said Pastor Mensah-Addae noted that Prophet Joshua is steadily, but successfully, scheming to impose himself as a ‘national Prophet’ for Ghana though no one has ordained him as such. The publication then went on to list some derogatory remarks it claimed were made by some Nigerian pastors about Prophet T. B Joshua. Before this particular publication by the Daily Guide, other Ghanaian pastors have also reacted in various ways, with some claiming that Prophet T.B Joshua has taken the glory from God in the unprecedented feat chalked by the Satellites.

In the first place, The Catalyst newspaper is not too sure if the comments attributed to the Ghanaian pastor by Daily Guide and other comments made on various platforms by other pastors regarding Prophet T.B Joshua on the subject of the Satellites’ U-20 World Cup success, can be described as genuinely seeking to glorify God, which is the very criticism being leveled against the Nigerian pastor by them.
The Catalyst has also noticed a clear political agenda by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), which is using its sympathetic media in pursuing that agenda against Prophet T.B. Joshua, with the aim of getting at President Atta Mills in the long run. It is true, and there is absolutely no question about it, that Prophet T.B Joshua foretold not only the outcome, but the unusually winding process that the 2008 presidential election in Ghana went through. In addition, he also predicted that Professor John Evans Atta Mills, Presidential Candidate of the Democratic Congress (NDC) would be declared as President of Ghana in January, which was unheard of.

The Catalyst is fully aware that some Ghanaians pastors, like the ‘Watchers of the City’ also predicted a win for President Atta Mills. But what we do know also is that only Prophet T.B Joshua predicted that the Presidential election would go through three rounds and the results would be declared In January instead of December, which has been the norm.

The Catalyst finds it difficult to understand therefore how anybody, let alone men of God in this country, would by any stretch of the imagination, suggest that by these deeds of Ghana through Prophet T.B Joshua, the Nigerian pastor is imposing himself on Ghana. The point is also worth nothing that at the time that Prophet T.B Joshua and others were predicting that the then Candidate Mills and the NDC were going to win the elections, other pastors in this country were prophesying openly in their pulpits under the ‘unction of the Holy Spirit’ that NPP’s Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo and his party were the ones going to win the elections.

So, between Prophet T.B Joshua and these, who is genuinely doing the will of god? Most of these pastors have declared open support for the NPP right from the round-up to the 2000 elections till date and predicted that the NPP would win again in 2008. The Catalyst can therefore not rule out the possibility that the pastors attacking Prophet T.B Joshua today are only fighting the usual political battle of the NPP against the NDC and President Atta Mills, something that some of them have done without fear or favour over the years in the name of God. When these pastors decided to pitch camp with the NPP against the NDC, which is the main reason some of them would not want to have anything to do with then Candidate Atta Mills when he most needed their spiritual help, nobody called these pastors “conmen”, “fraudsters” and “Trickster.”

From all indications, Prophet T.B Joshua has a powerful communication outfit that is up to the task. The world is thus made aware of every single miracle that God does through His Servant. In this technological era of communication, those who do not learn to run with the fast changing trend will always be left behind whining.
It is also important to make the point that nowhere in the information put out by Prophet T. B. Joshua’s communication outfit did he claim that he as a person made the Satellites to win the U-20 World Cup. The question to ask however is, when has it become the case that when pastors publicise testimonies of miracles done through them by God, then they are claiming God’s glory?

There is one thing also that Prophet T.B Joshua did which his colleagues that are attacking him could not do. Not only did he say what he heard from God concerning the Satellites’ final match against Brazil in particular, but he had the guts to make contact with the coach of the team, Silas Tetteh, and relayed the special message from God to him and told him exactly what to do by the direction of the Holy Spirit. The coach confirmed this fact. All that The Catalyst is asking is that, are the blistering attacks on Prophet T.B Joshua by these pastors in tandem with service to God, or it is borne out of jealousy for the head pastor of The Synagogue Church of All nations, or that it is to serve the political agenda of the NPP.

i watched TB Joshua everyday on my satellite network and also visit his website anytime i visit the internet and long before this U-20 issue came i have always trusted that man. 1. before the bomb blast of a hotel in Thailand, TB Josuah foretold that on the coming Tuesday all should fast and pray for souls in an Asian country. simply put it did happen that 54 ppl perished on that Tuesday in a Thai hotel, an Asian country -name 4gotten. 2. he also publickly asked people to pray for a VERY NEW LEADER who was going to get attacked and truly it happenned that a new leader was attacked and a helicopter was used to quickly fly the new PM away. 3. He also predicted of Prez Mills and that he saw the counting of ballots over and over and ove again and that the final results were gonna be declared in Jamnuary instead of December. YES I AGREE THAT PPL CAN SAY ALL THEY WANNA SAY BUT THE MAN IS TRULY BEING USED BY GOD, DUE TO HIS HUMBLE NATURE; UNLIKE OUR GHANAIAN PASTORS WHO TURNED THEMSELVES AS POLITICIANS' SPOKEPERSONS THREU TO WHAT THIS PAPER SAID, MANY MANY MANY PASTORS PREDICTED VICTORY FOR NANA ADDO. ANYWAY...GH IS MY COUNTRY AND SO I WILL NOT SPOIL IT TOO MUCH.

tell addae mensah or whatever he calls himself to watch his tongue for the bible says thou shall not judge, for all sins shall be forgiven but speaking against the Holy spirit shall not be forgiven. he should know that there levels of spirituality in the Lord and if he had gotten to that level, he keep his mouth shut. for God reveals to redeem and a people without vision perishes

Asinine thinking and comments of some of our self-ordained pastors in Ghana. I cannot pinpoint any but I believe there are numerous of them. Fine, let them focus on issues of poverty and help promote peace in the country rather than pretending and robbing the poor of their hard-earned wages of which they use to surreptitiously acquire possessions and gloat over and come out and spit nonsense. Leave Joshua alone. If he is a true man of God, it is between him and God. So stop playing this 'polytricks' with God.

I won’t say this is jealousy but I believed it is political. I advise critics to watch Joshua on Emmanuel tv instead of listening to others say.

MOST GHANAIAN PASTORS ARE FAKE AND ARE HIGHLY JEALOUS OF THEMSELVES. NO WONDER THIS ADDAE- MENSAH IS ONE OF THEM GIVING FALSE PROFESSES. Professing coming to pass does not mean is a work of man. TB professes the death of Micheal Jackson does not mean he killed him. Addae- Mensah and coo do the will of God have a true gift of professing.

Ghana should not flatter herself - I don't know why they are going crazy just because a Nigerian prophet predicted their victory. For your information, God is God of all nations and anyway - TB Joshua has two players in the Nigerian U17 team that may well win the CUP.
