President John Evans Atta Mills should seriously consider sacking all directors, accountants and caterers appointed under the Kufuor-led New Patriotic Party government, a youth activist of the ruling National Democratic congress, Abednego Orstin Rawlings, has requested.

According to him, all the directors, caterers and other appointees hired during ex-President Kufuor’s regime are now sympathizers of the opposition NPP, alleging that they will do all they can to make President Mills’ administration a failure. In a letter he sent to the Heritage newspaper, Mr. Rawlings added that, if President Atta Mills listened to former President Rawlings’s call on him to sack the directors and appointees soon after the NDC assumed office, former Youth and Sports Minister Mohammed Mubarak Mutaka could not have been “set up by the chief accountant of the sports ministry.”

The ruling NDC lad reminded President Mills of the “recent mistake which the deputy minister of education, Dr. Annan, nearly committed,” which, he said, was against the NDC’s campaign promise of patronizing made-in Ghana goods. He claimed that the minister nearly “allowed the NPP directors at the ministry to mislead him to import school uniforms from China to the neglect of the local-base companies.” The solution lay in President Mills bringing down the axe on such appointees, Orstin Rawlings wondered, “How on earth will these NPP directors and other appointees help the NDC ministers?” His conviction is that, “It is impossible for the NDC ministers to work with their political opponents.”

No matter what the ‘President of Peace’ does to or for these people, they will continue to undermine the Mills regime because they cannot betray their party and its defeated presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. And one thing that should make the chief executive boldly enforce his radical view is that, the ruling party has equally competent and committed people who are ready to serve and push forward the agenda of a Better Ghana, says Rawlings.

“Has President Mills forgotten so soon that it is some of these persons who, not long ago, went about claiming he,t hen candidate Mills, was dead?” Orstin Rawslings asked, wondering, “Has he forgotten so soon all those wild utterances these NPP people made at that time?” Mr. Orstin Rawlings stressed that there is no way the loyal NPP activists will appreciate President Mills’ achievements so the caterers they employed should not be engaged again to kill school pupils; no NPP directors should be retained to mislead NDC ministers.

I admire freedom of speech, but I wander why you could allow such childish article on your page. This article evinces neither logic nor philosophy and such divisive opinion should never be allowed on medium. We need something constructively for a better Ghana.

Who is Orstin Rawlings, does (s)he know his or her facts? does (s)he know that the Directors and Accountants are civil servants which makes them non-political.When will Ghana grow? When will Ghana move forward?Let look at school feeding, youth employment programmes,Health insurance scheme, to mention just a few.My problem is Kuffour created these job opportunities and put his NPP people there, what is preventing the NDC to create more of the same job opportunities and put their own NDC people there. When this is done there will be more job openings for Ghanaians and the nation moves forward. Some of us look said when people like Orstin Rawlings openly put such comments hear and there,it makes some of us very sad.Yes Kuffour made some mistakes so does it mean that Mills should paid them back by doing the same thing? When are we as a nation move forward? So if by chance NPP comes back in 2012 heads should roll? plse Orstin Rawlings come again. God bless Ghana

They've already sacked almost all cheif directors. It was in the enquirer some months ago. These people are career civil service and not politicians. The government fired the most senior civil servants hence their poor showing thus far

GHANA NEEDS ALL HER HUMAN AND MATERIAL RESOURCES FOR NATIONAL DEVT. PUBLIC SERVANTS APPOINTED IN POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY ARE NOT SACKED WITH A CHANGE OF REGIME IN DEVELOPED ECONOMIES. IT IS SHEER STUPIDITY TO GO THE PATH SUGGESTED BY MR RAWLINGS. WE ARE ALL GHANAIANS AND WE SHOULD UNITE TO LIFT UP OUR COUNTRY AND NOT DISUNITE FOR POLITICAL VENDETTA

Peace FM,please archive this document well for future reference. So you expect NPP activists to betray their party? You can betray yours, but dont expect same from NPP activists. In future when NDC is leaving office, all these people should not wait to be sacked.Today is your turn,so grab all the jobs.when the tide changes,do not wait to be sacked, simply resign for personal reasons. On what fundation is the National Destroyers Congress built for you to hold on to?Even some people's god Nkrumah's party is virtually non-existent and you are talking about a party formed in government. You cant do any other thing apart from political party activism,so go on,we have other better things doing.

Listen to the fool. Did Kuffour sack all Directors when he came to power? The Directors and Accountants are civil servants which makes them non-political.The Ministers are supposed to champion the policies of the President, they only seek the advise of the civil servants which is not binding. The final decisions rest on the Minister. They are failling because they are incompetent. NDC as a party is full of holigans, a typical example is yourself Orstin Rawlings and your party leader J J Rawlings.
