Mr. Solomon Asiedu, Sekyere West Municipal Coordinating Director, has called on heads of government departments and agencies to be committed to duty to facilitate the development of the area.
He observed that poor work ethics, indifference and lackadaisical attitude undermined productivity and growth.
Mr Aseidu made the call at a meeting with the heads of departments and agencies at Asante-Mampong on Thursday.
He said the assembly was planning to solve the accommodation problem facing its staff.
Mr Aseidu urged the workers to form associations to foster unity and enhance their social welfare.
Mr. Idrisu Abdulai, the Municipal Police Commander said that the Police were working tirelessly to curb armed robbery and other criminal activities in the area.
He said the personnel needed more vehicles and logistics to enable them to effectively carry out their work.
