| MPs' behaviour condemned |

The Reverend Sister Cecilia Afari, Head of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Vocational Training Institute, has expressed worry over the behaviour of some Members of Parliament (MPs) in Parliament last Thursday during the President’s State of the Nation Address.
It would be recalled that MPs belonging to the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) booed and heckled President Mills throughout his presentation.
As if that was not enough, the opposition MPs pulled out red cards which they flashed at the Head of State, apparently to insinuate that it was time for him to quit.
Reverend Sister Afari said the youth looked up to politicians as role models and therefore they should always try to comport themselves in public places.
She added that the behaviour of the MPS could send wrong signals to the youth.
Rev. Sis. Afari was speaking at a dinner organized by the Eastern Regional Minister, Dr Kwasi Akyem Apea-Kubi, in Koforidua for National Catholic Heads of Higher Institutions.
She urged MPs to live exemplary lives worthy of emulation.
Mr Kwesi Kwakye, from the Prince of Peace Girls Senior High School in Kumasi, urged religious bodies to pray for peace for the upcoming elections.
He urged politicians to be tolerant and avoid using foul language during campaign time so that there would be peace during and after the election.
Dr Kwasi Akyem Apea-Kubi, on his part, reiterated that government was committed to giving the Ghanaian child quality education.
He commended the Catholic Institutions for instilling discipline in the youth and also providing quality education.
Dr Apea-Kubi urged the heads to educate their students on the biometric registration exercise.
